Default Question About Pilot Bearing? Solid Or Roller?

I Will Be Putting In A New Clutch In A Few Weeks And Want To Know Which Is Better. And Where Can I Get A Roller Pilot Bearing? I Have A 95 Z28 With T-56 So Everyone Knows. Thanks

All of the replacement pilot bearings I have gotten have been the roller-type. But mine is a '98.

I replaced mine with a solid bushing. After pulling out pieces of my roller bearing and having to replace my tranny input shaft, it would have to a cold day before I put a roller bearing back in.

Almost every car has a roller type bearing, why does it brake so easily with those engines? Wrong design or bad driving?
