question about difference between M6 and T56...

i have a 02 SS so that means i have a T56, but what cars have M6s????? whats the diffrence between the two?

a t56 is an m6

M stands for manual and 6 stands for 6 gears

A stands for auto and 4 stnads for 4 gears

I didnt get it at first eigther..... but then i put 2 and 2 together.

A4 = automatic 4
M6 = Manual 6

Yeah don't feel bad, and you may see it referred to as the MN6, since that was the option code for the Fbod and I think also base Vette T56. M12 was the option code for the Z06 T56 with closer gear ratios.
