Default anyone know about 1999 slave cylinders?

Ive got a 99 TA with a 6 speed and im replacing the clutch ,flywheel , TO bearing and pilot bearing . I am also changing the slave cylinder but when i asked the techs at centerforce (which is where the clutch and stuff are coming from) which slave to use they tell me the ones from 1998 to 2001 which are the same arent as good as the 2002 slave from the factory which supposedly has some internal parts upgraded . any truth to this ??? i would like to know before i spend double on the 2002 when i can get the other from a local napa for half . any input would be great! thx in advance.
