clutch problems?

clutch problems? i have never had a clutch go in a car before so i dont really know what to look for.
yesterday when i was in traffic (1st gear) when i would let the clutch out it would stick at the bottom. if i kicked it up it would just pop up but for the most part it did not want to come back up all the way. it doesnt do this in the other gears though.
