i need a clutch.....help me choose

Default i need a clutch.....help me choose

my clutch just went out and i need a new one bad.i was thinking about getting a spec but i read alot of posts saying they suck or they go out in a few months.i do hear good things about the textralia clutch.so i thought about that one.i also hear about the ls2/ls7 combo.will the ls combo work with a lt1 or is it strickly fo ls cars?please give me some i deas on these 3 clutches.and if you have any one of these 3 what are pros and cons of them.

oh my car is only driven on the weekends, but i hit traffic still
aluminum or steel flywheel for daily driver?(mild dragging also)

LS1 clutches will not work at all with an LT1 motor. Different cat altogether. Aside from the bolt pattern on the crank, the LT1 requires a "pull" style special linkage (LS1 and regular small block chevy's are "push" style).

Based on your mods, I'd consider the LT4 clutch setup. Would still be smooth as a factory clutch, but is 'better' than a stock LT1 clutch.

If I remember righth the LT4 clutch was a little different than the LT1 clutch. The flywheel was a different thickness or something. I belive if you want to run a "LT4 style clutch" you need the LT4 PP with a LT1 disk, or the opposite. (dont quote me)
I had a SPEC 1 in my LT1 car when they first came out and loved it. Great clutch and I would recomend it.
