McLeod Adjustabe/hyd troubleshooting
Just before the snow started I decided to do the drill out mod. Worked OK but I couldn't seem to get it to bleed right. Took it to the dealer to see what they could do... long story but I end up with a new master and slave! Worst part is the car was undriveable. At low rpm it would disengage off the floor then @ high rpm it wouldn't disengage... dealer gave up and said they couldn't do anymore because of my Star stage2 clutch. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
2 months ago I put a McLeod adjustable master in. Now the engagement point normal .... until I do 5K+ shifts.. then it goes to sh*t. After the 6K release in first the pedal come back but is hard to push down to powershift 2nd. Then 3rd is engaging off the floor and 4th has to be rammed into gear. I then have to cruise at low rpm for a while for the clutch to come back to the upper release point (like when the car is cold).
recap : New slave (w/ 2001 PN), Mcloed Adjustable master, removed spring under dash, and my Star is holding fine and the Mech check the bolts (for backing out) when he R&R the slave cyl.
PS before the Mcloed adjustable I had a friend help re-bleed (over & over) and it would get better each time ...temporarily until a few high rpm shifts.
Am i just missing something? or could it be a bleeding issue with the new master?
Thanks in advance for any input!
Spring is around the corner and I want to get this right soon!
