Default t56 experts , help me please.......

Man , I am having a horrable time getting some info on the problem Im having with my tranny ! for a couple of weeks now , my transmission has a "whine" in gears 1-3 , and only in these gears ! It only does this when I accelerate ! It seems to get a little louder every day . The car shifts fine , no grinding or anything . Some have said don't worry about it , But If it is somthing I can fix before the tranny explodes , I would like to try to fix it ! I had a ton of stangs and I have heard what the tranny sounds like before it goes . I just can't understand why it only whines in gears 1-3 , is there somthing that ties these together??
Any help would be awsome !!!!

It sounds like your input shaft bearing... You have direct coupling in 4th so that would explain why no noise there.. Just a thought.. Jason

imput shaft bering was a thought I had , But I wasn't sure what it controlled in a t56 ! Is it possable to change it without cracking into the case ? I know on the t-5 you could remove the bering retainer and access it that way ? What would happen if I ingnore it for a little while ?
