please help me diagnose this problem

please help me diagnose this problem ok heres whats goin on, my car starts, idles, runs fine. however, when i am in 5th or 6th gear just cruising at normal throttle say at around 1300-1500 RPM, and say i want to give it some more gas to pass a car, i push the pedal, not full throttle, but just a bit more gas and the car willl shake and not give full power that it should be, it seems like its missing, i can feel it jumping through the stick and the car shakes, what could this be? one of my buddies suggested a spark plug, could it be somethin in the drivetrain? what do you guys think?? thanks!

For what it's worth I have the EXACT same problem. Think is your clutch slipping. I'm about to send out my Spec 3 to spec, cuz I have that, and when I'm in 3rd gear you floor it and the rpms go up but car really doesnt' go anywhere, normal driving is fine though. Think is clutch slipping

I could be in sixth at 1000rpm and accelerate from there very smoothly. Whether its just a touch of pedal or more moderate acceleration. No shaking. Something is wrong if you are shaking like that. If it was a spark plug/coil pack, it would do it in every gear at those rpms. Cruise at 1000rpm in 4th and lightly accelerate from there. See if it shakes. There is a lot more load on the tranny in higher gears so the clutch may be slipping.
