Default Having troubles with M6 help please

I just installed my new clutch (texrailia) and im having a major problem. The dowel pins on the tranny will not line up with the bell housing. I have tried everything I can think of even had a friend come over and help cause I figured maybe I was fusterated and missed somthing but it seems thats not the case. The input shaft is definatly going in the pilot bearing but no matter what I do the dowels and bolt holes dont all line up. I checked with the allignment tool (figuring maybe the clutch wasnt centered) and it went in fine. I'm lost and need help guys! I should tell you guys that this is not the first one I have done so I do have some experience, I also made sure the dowels are comletely seated.
What I found strange was I had my motor rebuilt and they needed the clutch and flywheel to balance the rotating assembly. Is this common with an internaly balanced motor? To make me more worried they drilled holes in the flywheel and put a weight on the p/p (which these are zero balanced), They also said that they had to ethier make new holes in the p/p or relocate the dowels in the flywheel (not sure which) cause they didnt mate up together where they were originaly located. Does this sound odd to you?
Any help would be great!

I am not quite understanding you. But what I gather is the trans will not fit up with the bellhousing. What are you using to hold the trans up?

Man I feel your pain. We put a clutch and rebuilt the tranny for a buddy around a month ago. It took both of us well over an hour to get the tranny seated up to the bell housing. Ive also done a few (mostly LT1s though) and this one was by far the hardest. Eventually everything got strait and slid in. Sometimes it helps to cut off a couple of 38-16 bolts about 3 or 4 inches long and use them for guides. It is usually harder for me when I take the tranny loose from the bellhousing over taking the bellhousing loose from the motor to pull it. however it is a bitch to get the motor up high enough to slide it out as one assymbly. good luck bro

I lifted the trans in place by bench pressing it. I did have a problem with it sliding all the way in. I put two bolts in towards the top and slowly pulled it together. Be very careful when doing this.

i bolted the bellhousing to the block first, then lined up the tranny and bolted it to the bellhousing. It makes it soo much easier to get to the top bolts on the bellhousing. Once its lined up, the tranny-bell bolts are easy to reach with a swivel and some extensions. Ive done it 3 times in the last 2 weeks.
