shifting problem I just replaced my slave cylinder and installed a new spec 2 clutch, is it normal for an aftermarket clutch to be hard to go in gear? It's not grinding or nothing, just hard to get in gear, especially when I'm down shifting and when I put it in reverse I have to force it into gear. I'm thinking i didn't bleed it enough, but I did have good pedal pressure I thought. Sometimes in gear with the clutch pressed in the car still moves alittle, What do you guys think I should do?
You're not disengaging all of the way. Try to bleed it again and see if it improves. You need to get it to where it fully disengages or you'll be doing another one soon.
Now, if it's brand new and that was the first time you drove it, I've found that to be normal. However, once you drive it for a short time, that should go away.
Assuming your slave is good, you might start looking at your master cylinder. You either have air in your system or there is a leak somewhere.
