tranny not fully disengaging-Causing shifting problems
tranny not fully disengaging-Causing shifting problems I recently bought a 94 z28 with a t56 m6 and it has been ahving a few problems. initially i noticed it was difficult to get it into some gears and i would have to let out the clutch and try again for it to work. Reverse usually grinds pretty bad. But today i noticed at the track taht when i was staging and had the car in gear with teh clutch all the way in, i was still rolling forward. I had noticed this before but never really thought anything of it. How can i adjust for this and could it be causing the other problems i have noted?
Transmissions don't dis-engage themselves...Clutches do that task under driver control. If you ( driver) are operating it correctly, the clutch release system must be the problem.

Cayses could be:
Air in the hydraulic system.
Over heating of the hydraulic fkuid .( the problem would come and go with heat)
clutch deterioration. Ive seen segments out of place that cause the disc to be"fatter " in that area and drag.
