Jumping Out Of 4TH Gear
NEW CLUTCH,REBUILT TRANS,UP SHIFTS GREAT BUT WHEN YOU DOWNSHIFT FROM FIFTH TO FOURTH IT JUMPS OUT OF GEAR.ALSO,SLOWING DOWN IN FOURTH IT WILL JUMP OUT OF GEAR.EVERYTHING ESLE IS FINE JUST SPITTING OUT OF FOURTH GEAR.TRIED MOVING GEAR STOP BACK ON SHIFTER IN FOURTH & BLED THE CLUTCH SYSTEM OF ANY AIR BUBBLES! DONT KNOW WHAT ESLE TO DO. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

i have a few obvious things but worth checking
check the linage,is the trans case lined up properly and tight?
was it professionally rebuilt?

Yes alignment is good and trans is tight.Yes trans was rebuilt by a sponsor.

I would call whoever rebuilt (or had it rebuilt) for you, and explain the situation. It sounds like an internal transmission problem to me. Bob
agreed possibly the syncro wasn't put together right maybe

i had the same problem in my 00ws6 i kept jumpin out of 2nd and reverse i had to get new syncros and forks on thoses gears. if i can get pics of the old syncros i can show you why they jump outa gear its kinda neat

it could even be the shift fork as well. I didn't think reverse gear wasn't syncronized but i don't know alot about the t56 yet only the t5.
simple things during putting the mainshaft together have cause a syncro to get messed up, the inserts not properly seated, lock rings not put in right, even the syncro sleeve not put on right. too many to list
