Ram Hd4 problems/questions. Just pulled my motor and tranny and when i looked at the clutch disc one of the springs is totally missing the polyurethane around it. Also the pads are also getting uneven wear. Towards the outside of the puck the material is thicker and on the inside its almost all gone and you can see where it has been rubbing the flywheel. On the tranny side its just the opposite (less material on the ouside than inside) I installed this clutch myself with no problems with a new fidanza aluminum flywheel. I have only put about 10k miles on it since i got it. Can neone enlighten me to why this has happenned? The pressure plate and the flywheel look great but you can tell that the whole puck is not contacting either one. Ill post pics when i can.
