Is This Normal

I just put in my new spec clutch and every this is fine but it ingages about 1 inch off the floor and before i replaced the clutch it would ingage about 3 or 4 inches off the floor. IS THIS NORMAL. I did not bleed the system because i did not open the hydro system just i just disconnected the slave and reconnected it. Do i need to bleed it or what?

Any info would be great

I would defenately re bleed it and then see what that does or how you like it

I did not bleed it the first time.i was told that if i did not open the bleeder on the clutch that i would not have to bleed it.

did you resurface the flywheel and or use one of the shims that came with it?

i did resurface the fluwheel and used the shim for the slave

When I recently changed my clutch to a cheapie luk I had the same thing going on....but it moves to its normal spot after a few hundred miles.

Well I didnt put the shim in after resurfacing the flywheel and the clutch disengaged a lot lower than stock. After a few thousand miles it wouldnt disengage all the way (was hard to get the 2-3 shift at high rpm)and I ended up having to get a McCloud adjustable master to fix it. Thats one way you could go if it doesnt fix itself like the others have said it might.
