Default RPM's

I been noticing that when I take off in 1st gear my rpms won't let me hit 5000. I barely hit 4000 and it seems like if its being forced to go any further. I'm not sure why but I just got a complete rebuilt on the tranny & new clutch. It was doing the same thing even before I took it in. I don't think this is normal. What do you guys think?

yeah it is. I think I tried even with it off and it still won't let me pass 4000.

This doesn't make any sense. What do you mean it won't let you go any higher? Are you hitting a limiter? You have to give more detail.

Pretty much I am flooring it on first gear and it seems to be forcing itself to hit high rpm 4000 & up. When I see vids of their gauges while racing the rpms seem smooth once at higher rpms. My cars feels like it's being forced to go once I hit 4000 and above. Don't know how else to explain

Almost definently not related to your tranny. Do a tune up, plugs, wires, and especially the fuel filter. My old car used to start struggling in teh high end and it turned out the fuel filter was clogged.
