Default Anyone use the SLP short shifter?

SLP is running a sale on the short shifter. Did a search but most people talk about the LSS and the 5.0. Which one is this similar to? Can I install this myself? It seems like a worthy mod from the threads.

I've heard it's not very good at all... i'd go with a short stick.
