Default B&M Ripper

I have the new model ripper witht the solid stick. I want a shifter with a shorter stick and I was wondering how hard is it and how hard is it to shorten the stick on the B&M ripper?

If you like the ripper feel, look for the older style with the separate handle. ( replace it)
