Help M6 My car is making a grinding noise when letting the clutch out. Only on takeoffs with a lot of load. I tried taking off on 2nd and it does the same thing. I am almost letting the clutch out a idle so it wont grind. The grinding is not a squeal (metal to metal) it's more like something is not engaging all the way in. Once I get the car going, after take off, it doesnt grind anymore in any gear. It goes into any gear fine even dumping the clutch into 2nd and making the tires scream. I had a couple of my buds look at it. Some say it is my syncrs, cluth and one guy said it could be my pilot bushing. Do I need a tranny rebuild or clutch kit. Re: Help M6 If it is your synchros, they will only grind when shifting into a gear. Synchros slow down the spinning gear so that they can mesh smoothly. They have nothing to do with the clutch pedal motion.
If you are getting a grinding sound when you release the clutch, I'd have to suspect a clutch issue.
