When i first start up and drive my car after its been sitting for a while, 3rd gear grinds into place. 1st engages fine, going into 2nd is ok, but then when I shift into 3rd it grinds into place. It does this the first and sometimes second time. But every time after that, third engages smooth. I thought it was because of my old clutch being worn out, but now i have a brand new SPEC 2 clutch and it still does it. I'm thinking I might have damaged something in the tranny when I raced it, because I missed third going down the track. Instead of going into third, I forced the shifter really hard into the space between 3rd and 5th. Anyone have any ideas?
