Default Z06 shifter

This might be a stupid question, but I was wondering if a stock z06 shifter out of a c6 corvette will fit in my m6. I have a extra one and didnt know if anything would get messed up if I tried to swap them out.
-Thanks Brandon

Not a dumb question but , no, it will not bolt on or work with your M6.

I'd say the same thing. Reason being that the C6 uses a rear mounted transaxle setup instead of the direct-bolt to motor trans like the F-Body uses.

However, I will say that the C6 Z06 shifter is a damn nice unit

Oh damn thats right I completly forgot that its a transaxle. I wonder if the pro 5.0 has that close ratio like the zo6? If not the pro 5.0 what else would be similar to the z06 shifter?

I think the PRO 5.0 is one of (if not the best) shifter on the market. It doesn't have the smoothness of the factory C6 Z06 unit, but its probably even more accurate and more durable in the long term.

I'm most likely going to purchase one for my 98 T/A, the factory Hurst shifter is clunky as hell
