clutch chatter?

hey guys i just got a quick ?,when im at a light or whatever and im just there ideling with it in netural and my foot off the clutch i hear like a chattering or something like that under the car in the middle,but if i push in the clutch it stops what is this? thanks guys

mine does the same thing, and it's kinda annoying....is there any way to stop this other than replacing the clutch?

Could be the throw out bearing, had that problem before on one of my Mustangs. My Camaro now has the exact opposite problem. It chirps when you step on the clutch and stops when you let off.

what type of clutch guys? if its stock junk the clutch...

yeah, mine is the stock clutch (unless the previous owner changed it)....it was bought from a dealer, so i don't know the previous owner.

i'll probably go with the LS2/LS7, but i gotta get the money for it first.....so i'll just have to live with the chatter for now
