Default Flywheel dow pin

I purchased an aftermarket flywheel that didn't come with an alignment pin. I built this engine from a shortblock, so I never had a flywheel to begin with. I went to a GM dealership and the the pin is not available separetely. Do I need this alignment pin? (I'm assuming that I do) If so, does anyone have an extra laying around I can get? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Since you are refering to one I would assume you are talking about the one that goes in the crank?
You don't need that one, just line it up.

The two small 1/4 inch ones that go into the flywheel and into the pressure plate might be important I don't know. Seems like you could make them with some bolts or bar stock.

Yeah, the one that goes into the crank. I haven't even looked to see if the pressure plate to flywheel pins are there....I probably should check it, huh? I also need to find bolts to join the two. Anyhow, thanks for the input!
