need 6 speed answer quick (93 transmission)
my transmission guy just got it tore down and the 3-4 shift fork is broke...
he said that it's different then the rest that he has in the shop whereas it is skinnier then the rest. he also said the part numbers on the shift forks differ in the last three digits. i was wondering if the parts are different, and when i order a steel 3-4 shift fork....if i need to find a specific part number

There were several 3/4 fork upgrades in aluminum over the span of T56 production years.It would appear that you had a narrower / older part. While all will fit ,you will want the latest available.The iron fork is the one you want to put in there.In fact, unless you are getting a used part, the iron 3/4 should be the only new part offered.
