Default Lt1 T56 ?

I am installing an LT1 T56 in my Conquest and I have a question about the TOB. Am I supposed to install the tob between the clutch and pp, or do i slide it on the input shaft and attach to the fork. On a few pictures i have seen it looks like the tob is installed with the pp. Sorry for any newb questions but this has been quite a venture... I might have to remove the pp again if I fffed up. Thanks

How about some pics of the V8 'Quest! I was looking at doing one of these before I bought the Supra, and from what I've learned here a front sump GTO oil pan will make a Gen 3 swap a lot easier. I still may do this as my next swap, I'm also looking at a Porsche 928.

Looks like the same clutch I have on my LT1 280Z.

The clutch is a Spec 3+ and I got a custom Fidanza to work with the adapter kit.

Yes, I pulled the pp and installed the bearing from the inside. I have heard that the clip that holds the TOB in place tends to come loose and is only there to assist in the install. Is that correct??

I should have the tranny in by this weekend. I have to hammer out the tunnel a bit as the t56 is a lot beefier than the stock tranny. I just need to decide on a shifter now and get the custom driveshaft made. I can't wait to drive a 6 speed Conquest

My bad, I read your first post & thought you were putting an LT1 and a T56 in. I see now it is just the T56.

Car looks good regardless. I don't think there are any custom driveshaft makers here that are sponsors, so I can share that I had the steel driveshaft for my LT1 280Z made at Denny's Driveshaft. Great guy, he spoke to me personally to make sure it was right. It was high quality & an excellent fit for $300.
