Strange clutch issue. please help So here goes.....
We put a spec stage 2 disc(disc only) in my buddys 97 last weekend. His flywheel and pp had some hot spots that we scuffed up. Budget fix here,lol
Anyways, the clutch had about 1000 miles on it when we picked it up, looked pretty much new. Well, now, the clutch will slip in every gear but 4th! He can pull it from 10mph in 4th and it will not slip, we did this all the way to about 90 with no slippage at all. Every other gear it will let loose around 1/2 to 3/4 throttle.
why would one gear hold and not others. I know re-using the pp and flywheel is not the best way to do it, but would that cause this to happen right away?
Any ideas? Could his pp just not have enough apply pressue to hold that clutch?
