Default Pro 5.0 noise

When I am at 4500 rpm my shifter makes a lot of noise. it sounds like a your holding a bell and shaking it really fast. It is really annoying and would like it to go away now.

Maybe if you ask it nicely to quiet down then it will <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Seriously, all aftermarket shifters are a little louder than stock, although they shouldnt be making rediculously loud noises. I'd take it apart again and see if maybe something isnt lined up right.

Get a piece of Dynamate or some type of sound deadening material that is real sticky....Rammat works real good. Wrap it around the stick/shifter interface where the two bolts are and squeeze it to fill in any gaps. It worked really well on my Pro5.0 w/ Lou's and you cant even tell you did it with everything put together.
