Shifter Change I am going to put a new Billet Plus Hurst in...Red or Black RTV ?? also, how long should I let it sit afterwards ?? Any tricks to ease the install.??..first time doing this..Thanx... 
Red or black siicone is fine. I used gasket maker on mine, and dont have any problems. I dont think waiting will be an issue, since its going to be bolted down tight. I sealed mine up, while the trans was out. Also, there isnt really much to make it easier. Pull the ****, then shift boot, then take out the console, rubber boot, and your there.
Yup, not really any tricks just know that you want to plut the rtv on the tranny its self. If you want to change the tranny fluid, now would be the time you can pour it in through the top where the shifter mounts. The e-brake might be a bit tricky, you have to get a screw driver in there so you can pry it stright up to remove the console.
