Flywheel question...
Flywheel question... I am having a ls7 clutch/ls2 flywheel being put in right now. My question is, am I going to feel any difference, flywheel wise, with the change from the stick ls1 flywheel? Just wondering...
You are going to see a change actually. Not because of the flywheel, but because of the power that an LS7 clutch can support as opposed to the LS1 stock clutch which you can destroy in no time flat and has terrible hold after you get a few miles on the car.

LS2 flywheel You will feel the difference with the way the car revs it wont rev quite as fast as with the stock LS1 flywheel, not a real big deal though. after i put mine in the added grab when you dump the clutch makes up for the weight gain. also you have a few more mods on your car than i have on mine, extra HP will make up for the extra weight. the LS2 flywheel is about 12 Lbs heavier than the LS1, and if you think that doesnt make a difference then why does SLP sell an 8 LB less than stock billet flywheel. p.s. i put a complete LS2 clutch in my car not the LS2 flywheel with an LS7 pressure plate. just means im limited by how much horsepower i can put to it.
