Dual Disk Clutch I just bought a Mcleod Dual Disk Clutch and I was warned by the mechanic that this clutch is not going to be any good for street use. Is this true? He told me that the clutch doesnt have any slip. Once I let go of the clutch it will hook up.
Iam worried because I drive in traffic everyday, am I going to have to buy my self a neck brace now to drive my car to work and home.
I hope the mechanic is exagerating. He said that the car is not going to take off from a stand still smoothly anymore it going to jump from a stand still!
Any help please?

Re: Dual Disk Clutch I have one and there are no issues at all with it <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> I drive my car everyday and it doesnt jump from a stand still at all. I have a few friends that have other after market clutches and they say that they wish that thiers worked as smooth as mine <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" />

Re: Dual Disk Clutch You will not have to worry about drivability with this clutch. No chatter, smooth engagement when letting out the clutch at a moderate pace. The drivability of mine is great. Let the clutch out fast and it grabs like a mother!!!!
I have 1500 miles on mine. I have a small hydraulic issue in my new GM 145 slave <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> , but the clutch works great.

Re: Dual Disk Clutch As they posted above, the Mcleod dual disk is not that bad in traffic. However, make sure you have one beefy drivetrain if you ever plan on going to the track on slicks. The clutch will not slip. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
