Transmission Problems
Transmission Problems So last week I bent the 3/4 shift fork. I just took it to a performance shop and they are now working on it. The said that they would have to take the tranmission completely out to fix the problem so I figured that I should probably build the tranny a little bit while they already have it out. The guys at this shop told me that it would be a good idea to put a new slave cylinder in since the 2000's aren't good. They also said that I could go ahead and put in new blocking rings, new billet keys, and bronze pads. I'm trying to keep the total under $1000 and labor is going to be around $500 so I can't really do anything TOO expensive. Now my question to you guys is. . . Does this should like a good idea? Is there anything I shouldn't do? Is there anything else here that I didn't mention that I should do while the tranny is out?
If they do all that work & parts for 1K that will be cheap IMO.
The slave is over a 100, the blockers, keys, steel fork & bronze pads 300+ easy
All that labor & installation for 500, that is pretty good.
heck have them do the drill mod also.
