swapping to m6
i have a local guy who wants my auto and i want his m6. if we were to do a through and through trade for it, what would i need to do besides drive his car to see how the transmission is acting? and to see if clutch is slipping is uphill, 6th gear, punch it right? anything else? oh, and how long you guys think it would take to pull off this swap?

I just swapped a T56 into my car ..... took about ~24 hours of easy paced "tinkering" to get the A4 pulled and M6 put in . It could be done much quicker with 2 people for the whole job (I only had an assistant for slugging the auto out, and lifting the standard in) and a little more knowledge/experience, and/or less screwing around!!

He would need a wiring harness to run the A4. When I swapped out my A4 for a t56 it took about 12 hours. The problem with this swap is sometimes it will nickel and dime you to death with little things like bolts hydraulics things like that. It is much much harder to go m6 to a4 then it is to reverse it. If i was him I would give you my M6 + I would ask for about another $1,000 bucks. The A4's are **** so they are not worth what an M6 is.
