Default Slave Cylinder: Is this normal?

I was changing out my throw out bearing today and when it came off this is what I found. The slave was kinda worn and gouged all the way around. Is this the way they all look?

Its not normal to take them appart like that . It does look like the guide tube is worn but not to a gross degree. Why not replace it if you have a concern.

How else can you change the throw out bearing if it is not taken apart? I really don't want to break the fluid line going to the slave. I have heard the horror stories to blead these things.

if you are there, I would replace it, it is just a little insurance. If you break the line via the quick disconnect you should be fine, most units are pre bleed. But the best insurance is to throw in the remote bleeder while your there.
