Default spec 3+ experience

ive used up my spec 5 and was wondering if i would be better off with a spec 3+ or 3i or just replacing with another 5...intended use is cruising around and track runs maybe once a month....i dont expect it to last more than 6 months realisticly but for drivability what would everybody recommend...also i am at about 600rwhp...take that into consideration....

I like mine and I'm at about 550RWHP on the 150 shot. Also many people on here say that none of the specs do not last long.

At first it was a little different but now I can't tell the difference between the spec 3+ or the stock one. I mean the install went cleanly and there was absolutely no chatter after the install and there still hasn't been any(the clutch has 8000 or 9000 miles on it and a lot of track passes) The clutch is still working flawlessy.

i can speak for the teenage mutin, i've drove his car before and after the clutch swap. i couldn't really notice any "normal" driving differences and it feels much better at the track than the stocker.

on a side note, i spoke with Amber @ t56 rebuilds today and she told me a lot of people had problems with the spec "+" clutches, and told me to just buy a stage 4 instead. i'm gonna say she knows what shes talking about, and they sell the line of spec clutches.

You guys running higher than spec 3 on the street are going to burn up clutches quick the disk is not sprug so unless you are on off with it ou will burn it up quick get the 3+ it will last longer than you 5 and hold 600RWHP

why not just step up the game and go for a mcleod single disc? you invested soo much into your motor why are you gonna skimp out on a clutch? especially one that may crap out on you and that would end up just costing you more. of course thats not to say a mcleod may not crap on you, but at least they are rebuildable.

i run a spec 3i right now and my next clutch will be a mcleod single with an aluminum flywheel. fundage permitting, that may even be before my spec dies.

im not a fan of mcleod since i bought their adjustable master cylinder...it crapped out on me after a month or so of use...not even many track passes...slowhawk also recommended the spec5 when i got the setup done so i stuck with him cause i trust his choice but i hear a lot of people with 3i or 3+ whatever theyr calling it and they say its good, however i never got any input from anyone with over 500 hp till now...most of the people i talked to had less than 450whp...the way i see it the spec 5 held good for almost 6 months so i might drop down to a 3+ and work my way up from there...i was just wondering how different the 3 and 5 were from dead stops if its even noticable...i appreciate the input guys
