M6 to A4 conversion question's
M6 to A4 conversion question's Looking at going from a M6 to A4, few questions please.
-Tell me a bit more what is involved with the steering column, and the ignition lock ect-cable. Have only found a bit of info on that part of the swap.
-What happens with the hole in the fire wall for the clutch master. Is there some thing that uses this hole, for the A4 setup?
-Tunnel shifter hole. Is there a cover-adapter plate of some kind. Or is each body made to spec as a auto or manual?

You can use sheetmetal to cover the hole in the tunnel. You will need to weld this of course and you will need an A4 wiring harness. The M6 harness doesn't have the wires that the A4 needs. Other than that it is not that bad at all. You can trace the outline of the A4 shifter plate onto the sheet metal and then leave about 2 inches of leftover all the way around. You can then weld it down and then drill a whole for the shifter cable to go through. The hole in the firewall you can plug up with a rubber grommet or more sheetmetal. I have seen someone use sheetmetal tak welded into place and then put some dyno mat over to block out an excess noise. Then just lay out the A4 harness that is about it.
