CLUELESS ... please help ... clutch problems...
CLUELESS ... please help ... clutch problems... Okay to start...i bought my 1999 WS.6 about a year and half to 2 years ago ... right away it was slipping already ... last fall (about a year ago) i got an LS6 clutch put in and the master cyl was shot ... so got both of those replaced.
this summer i started noticeing that if i would be sitting somewhere with the clutch pushed in for longer than 20 seconds, it would stick halfway thru releasing....i took it in and got it bled ... did not help ... then took it in to the shop that put the clutch in a year ago ... this was about 2 weeks ago ... a year after clutch got put in .... they said the slave cyl was shot ... replaced that with a new GM one ...
now ... still ... does the same thing ... now what?

Sounds like it might be the MASTER. Was it an adjustable one or another stock master? My car is currently doing the same thing. I have to have an adjustable with the Ram twin disc though. You have to bump it into neutral or it sticks and you have to pull it back up with your foot right?

but as for clutch ... its only when its engaged for an extended period of time ... sometimes it gets bad enough that i have to pull it up with my foot ... sometimes it just sticks for a second and comes back up ...
the shop that installed it after i said it was kinda acting up mentioned maybe i could get the release point adjusted a little see if that helps ...
and no its not adjustable its just the new OEM master

Pull the master off the car, bench bleed it. Rebleed the slave afterwards. When you install the master put it back on the car with the reservoir attached, full of fluid, and capped.
