Unkown tranny problem?????? HELP HELP So I think there are two different things wrong with my 6 speed. After about 5 seconds of holding the clutch in, I notice a rattling that could be my throw out bearing, but just recently it wont go in gear. When the car is off (98 Z) I can easily put it in and out of gear, but when the engine is running it wont go in, sometimes. Today i took it in and it drove just fine. WTF is up with this?????
You have hydraulic issues, you may have a pilot bearing or the throw out going as well to make those noises.
Need to take care of the hydraulics asap, it will cause alot of wear on the trans if left like that.
You can try to bleed /flush the fluid, it helps sometimes. Otherwise you'll need to replace master & or slave.
