cags/skip shift install help?

Hey, I just got a skip shift eliminator and was wondering if i'd need to unplug the negative battery terminal to install it? If I put it in without disconnecting the battery, will it still disable the annoying skip shift feature?

I don't see why it wouldn't. From what I understand all it does is go between the solenoid and the wire. Don't see why you would have to disconnect the battery.

Also, there would be no power delivered to the solenoid while you are under there, assuming you do this with the car stopped.

i did not unplug the battery either. just put it on ramps, and when it cooled down i put it in and started it like normal. no problems at all.
