Default Take the time and do it right

For any of you that are planning on installing a after market clutch do your self a favor. Take the time to check the set up clerance between the clutch fingers and bellhousing and the throw out bearing and the transmission. I have been having troubles with the Spec 2+ clutch from the time I installed it. Seemed like the clutch pedal would almost ingauge at a different place all the time. The instruction that came with the clutch said if it was being used in a F-body car to use the shim for behind the slave cylinder. So when I installed it I installed the shim. Have rebleed the system every possible way thinking ther may still be air in the system even though I wouldn't see any air bubbles. Still engaugement still seemed to change. Finally the slave cylinder went out. So before installing the new slave cylinder I checked for proper set up clearances and found with shim installed the clearance was only about .011 and where minuim is so post to be .100 and max of .225 according to McLeod Ind. So now with out the shimm of .115 my set up clearance is .104 Put back together now and it is working perfectly. this clearance seems to be critical.
