T56 Problems
T56 Problems Ok, so I just got my car running and go for a test drive 1st cool, wow fast 2nd awsome power continues. 3rd....3rd....hello?! Grind grind grind and it wont go in...ok 4th....nope doesn't go in either. 5th yep works fine and 67th grinds and won't go in. Well I know i'm going to have to take out my tranny and fix it. But what do I need to fix? just the syncros or the slider gears also? Could it just be the fork is bent? Any ideas? The car at a stop with the clutch petal pressed in grinds but then it will go into 3rd and 4th it will not however do it while moving.
Did you have the trans out of the car?I would say go through a bleed and see if it clears up. Otherwise you will have to teardown to see what needs replacing. If it has just started clashing, less$$$ than if you drive it like that for awhile.
