power shifting problem

power shifting problem I know I have read about someone having a problem like this before, but search doesnt neem to be working right now so hopfully I can get a quick answer. This isnt my problem, but a friend of mines.
When power shifting his car suddenly shuts off, usually between the 3-4 shift from what he's told me. I know a solid answer wont be easy to give without more information, but I'm just hoping for some ideas. I was assuming a ground, but I wouldnt know where to start.
