teaching someone to drive
The hardest part of learning to drive stick is starting out from a dead stop. When I teach people, I take them to a big parking lot, like a high school lot. Then I have them repeat stop and starts for about a half hour or until they are comfortable with it. Then I teach start from a dead stop, shift to second, and back down to a stop. After that, learning a gate is easy. You may want to just take them to a video arcade and have them practice on a game with three pedals and seated. Good luck.
And to answer the question yes it can kill your clutch cuz people usually slip it a ton while raising the rpms to like 4-5k.
