Default How much pedal play on LS7 Clutch?

i have a 99 ls1 m6 with the ls7 clutch kit with brand new stock master and brand new stock slave. how much pedal play is there supposed to be?

(and by "play"...i mean pushing the pedal & no movement from slave). normally theres about over an inch. when its freezing cold theres almost 2 inches and catches right off the floor. when the car warms up after driving for a while, theres about an inch. and also sumtimes from shift to shift it changes from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches. do you think its a bad master or slave? any input

na no drill mod. the car ran perfectly fine with stock master and stock slave with no drill mod. i had a brand new master and slave put on with the ls7 clutch, im figuring defective part.

ive bled it 3 times each for over 30 min. i think the master or slave has sum kind of leak where its leaking pressure when i push in the clutch. it holds pressure fine tho once the clutch is pressed in

Stick a brick between the floor and clutch to hold it in and then bleed with the mity vac just to make sure there is no air in the cylinder
