Default Spec flywheel

I am about to purchase the Spec steel flywheel. at the checkout it gives me a $79 lightweight option. What exactly is this? Of course I know it will be lighter, but do they grind more flywheel material off or what?? Just curious.

Also, does anyone know of a sponsor that carries these cheaper than $249??

Thanks guys!

I just recently bought a 3+ and billet steel setup and had it balanced and was surprised that it was off by only 3 grams. The machinist said that was one of the better ones he has seen. I am installing everything this weekend so I can't tell you what it performs like yet.
