Help 3rd gear pops out!
got those fixed yesterday and was driving around and it is still poping out
so whats the deal? what do i need to do to fix this deal?
For whatever reason, they thought it would be a good idea to make it out of aluminum. There is no way to fix it other than rebuilding the trans, or replacing it. Luckily, mine was under warranty, and I was able to get a brand new T-56 free of charge. I hope you have a warranty???!!!???
) Turns out (and I'm still embarrassed 8 months later...) that a while after I installed my Pro 5.0 shifter, the little bolts that serve as the bump stops backed themselves out by a few threads and were preventing the shifter from going all the way into gear.
I don't know if this is your problem or not, but it's worth a shot to check.
