Default t56 for ls1!!!

Is the tranny the same no matter what? Like does it matter that it came out of a lt1 car??

One thing I know is the bellhousing is different.

You should try the search function. There is more than just the bell housing being different.

Depending on the model:
input(length/teeth/pilot dia/ ratio)
output( teeth /length/OD driven spline)
ratio set( 3.36/2.97 old design 2.97/2.66/3.01new design)
gear face width old/ new design)
extension( mount/shifter/speedo/output/ ect)
front adapter( several clutch releases)
shifter( Corvette does not even have one)

You will have to be more specific on what you are doing/ want to do.
