Braided Line (Drill Mod) Hopefully someone can answer my frustrating question. I have read the drill mod article on the install university site. It talks about the drill mod after all the hydrauloics have been extracted from the car.
For just the line and drilling it out, can I just go under the car where it's visible, disconnect it, drill it and then put it back in????
Or do I HAVE to pull the hydraulic stuff out?
Thx for any info, I wanna do this soon in my garage.
If the line comes off, do I have to bleed the system?
And one last weird question, I see under the car the line goes to the transmission. Can anyone explain why? I though trans fluid and clutch fluid are different.

you HAVE to pull the master cylinder out because the restriction in the line is at the tip that goes into the master cylinder with you need to remove it to knock out the pin to remove the line from it. So in simple YES you HAVE to remove the master cylinder.
And yes you will need to bleed the system after it is done.
The line is from the master cylinder and it runs inside the bellhousing to the slave cylinder. It is not a part inside the trans but the bellhousing which is between the motor and trans.

Just did the drill mod this afternoon while putting in a new master.
3 hrs from start to finish you could do it, go to install university and look for mcloud adjustable master and follow the steps you need, obviously skipping alot being you are just doing the drill mod.
