Shifting Weirdness - Synchros? Just bought a myself a '99 SS and have a question. When I go through my gears up or down consecutively and in 1 fluid motion per shift, it shifts pretty easy for the most part. But.. if I linger in neutral a sec or try to go from 4th to say.. 2nd, 5th to 3rd, 1st to 3rd, it won't go into gear worth a damn. Is this fouled up synchros?

It may be the CAGS, Computer Aided Gear Selection (I believe that's what it stands for) It only allows you to go into a certain gear at a certain time. A lot of people like myself have deleted this.
Sounds like possible worn synchros. CAGS will only block out a 1 to 2 shift under low rpm and low throttle.
I'm assuming you're hold the clutch in, selecting neutral, waiting with the clutch in, attempting to select the next gear. If that's the case, the synchros have to spin up whatever gear you're selecting to the appropriate RPM. That's the delay you're feeling. If they're excessively worn you'll get gear clash and this spin up can take a bit longer.
