Worn Blocker Rings What do worn blocker rings look like? I tore open my T56 today to replace the blocker rings and upgrade some parts because I was having what I thought were synchro issues. The only bad part I could find in the trans were the 5-6 fork pads. All the sliders look good, as do the blocker rings but Im not sure what to look for on the blocker rings. Just wondering if this rebuild is going to fix my problem.
Problem is grinding into 3rd regularly and sometime 2nd and 4th, but only under low rpm. I bought new cf blocker rings, billet 3/4 keys, bronze pads for 1-4 and a new 3/4 fork.

You can measure the distance between the blocker ring and synchro ring on the gear. If it is less than .030 replace the blocker rings. What you are discribing is a blocker ring problem and they should be replaced.
