Default Help identify this sound!

Hey all,

I have a sound coming from the front transmission area when letting the cluth out to roll into first. It sounds like a faint crunching noise...not metal on metal though. Could this be the clutch grabbing? It is completely stock with 48k on it. It will only sound like this when letting the clutch out and in the very low rpm range of 1st gear. Any ideas?

Thanks

Check the trans mount, flywheel to block bolts, gearbox to flywhee bolts, engine mounts, and torque arm mounts. If they all look good then there's something up with the pressure plate.
