Default NEED HELP BLEEDING HYDRAULICS!!!!..please

Ive been at this with my friend for about an hour. The cap and rubber are out of the resivour (sp) and he's pumping the clutch a few times and then pressing in as I loosen the bleeder then tighting it again. It will get a little form and the next time all the way to the floor. I have no idea whats going on and I just want to drive my car.....please save me

No you shouldn't. It can just take a long time. Start by opening the bleeder while your friend keeps the reservoir full. When you start getting a steady stream of fluid close the bleeder. Have your friend get in the car. Open bleeder, depress pedal and hold, close bleeder, repeat. If you get air stuck in the master it's very possible that the only way you'll be able to get it out is to bench bleed it.

Just keep bleeding, some ppl here have mentioned that it has taken them more than an hour to bleed the system, it took me like half an hour to do mine.

I would have to start thinking the clutch master or slave cylinder has gone bad.

When I did the drill mod I just hand pumped clean fluid through the cylinder and line. I then topped off the reservoir and put the whole thing back on the car in one piece. I attached the cylinder to the firewall, snapped the line into the slave through the bell housing and was good to go with no bleeding at all after that. I realize the difference with you is that you have had the slave cylinder off and disconnected whereas I only had the master out.

Have you tried using a Miti-vac on the master to see if that clears it?

Further information

I just had to go through this today. We went at it for about 1.5 - 2 hours and finally got the clutch to work. The peddle still feels really soft but the more i drive it the better it's getting. Eventually yours should get better too. Lots of luck.

Another option for you is to try the Motive Power Bleeder. I bench bled my new master cylinder today after doing the drill mod and swapping in an adjustable rod. Worked perfectly, and I suspect it will work perfectly when bleeding/flushing my entire system after I re-install it in the car.

Here is a thread with user feedback and part numbers...

thanks guys

I don't know what the hell is wrong with the hydraulics it will engauge and the new clutch and everything works fine. The pedal will not get firm enough for me to really be able to drive it. The damn this is pissing me off. It's at the garage right now and will go up on the lift in the next day or so. Couls be a fucked up slave or the master went bad which was fine before all this bs started.

My mechanis can bleed it more

power bleed it

or replace the master and ANOTHER slave which I can do in my garage. Looks like im going to be playing labor for once

I'm not even going to start on about how the started died on the way to the shop. I think this car might make me just cry. It's pissed my dad and me off so much I'm no longer putting a cam in it. I have new seats coming, stainless inserts for the back, and then i'll do true duals, and fix my tint and I am done! until the winter.

Man i feel you pain. Your story sounds exactly like what i was going through all weekend. I wanted to do a cam and stuff but now i to am at the point where i say f*** it, i like driving it a lot better. So that idea is out the window unless i decided to pay some one else to do it. I feel real bad for you and hope everything works out good. These things can be a bitch sometimes thats for sure.
